Hello, i have been seeing a lot of Guinness World Record holders and i have especially taken notice to Ms. Asha Mandela Who holds the record for the longest dreadlocks. This sista's locks is beautiful and her strength can be felt. My question to EBONY/JET is, i am a regular reader of your mags and i am confused as to why this beautiful black woman with such a georgous mass of long natural locks that measures 19ft 6ins, has yet to be featured on your magazine covers ???? Does she have to become famous before you decide to feature her on your covers or in your articles ??? We have to support our people and our culture at all levels both famous and almost famous (ms.mandela) so that black brothers and sisters out there or people of any race or culture who is either considering growing locks, or struggling to mantain there's, can view Ms.Mandela as an example and driving force and gain some encourgement in growing there locks.

Historical oversight: From the times that Lerone Bennett was your head chronicler, I have been a fan of your magazines. However, I find that you have slighted me by refusing to recognize my poem "I Can" and the work which created the term Afr-i-can Amer-i-can in 1987. The sheer weight of this discussion must generate some sense of urgency on your behalf. It is particularly aggravating to see the term being used without any credit being given to its creator. Please rectify this historical oversight within your pages.
